This course will focus on developing the language skills necessary for the specific work which is vital in business. Further, the sessions will enable professionals to build a wide range of vocabulary and grammatical structures and apply them to essential verbal and written communication in the work environment such as paraphrasing and informal and formal correspondence.

These bespoke lesson modules would entail activities ranging from role-playing telephone calls to training in delivering English presentations, discussions around work functions, negotiating with clients, handling complaints and argumentation skills, or work on business scenarios such as upcoming board meetings or international conference calls. (i.e. example proposals, reports, and agendas). The above-mentioned will only be efficiently applied to the professionals who need the necessary skills.

Additional assignments will be given to the student to provide a concrete assessment of his/her progress.

Class Length/Time: 18 hours in total / 2–3 hours per session
